Albany Recalls Cole, Clones Acquire Dustin Kingston

Cincinnati, OH-Cincinnati Cyclones coach and general manager Chris Cichocki announced today that the American Hockey League's Albany River Rats have recalled Phil Cole. Cole rejoins the Rats after appearing in 12 games with the Clones and recording one point on one goal. Cichocki also announced the acquisition of Dustin Kingston from the Toledo Storm in exchange for cash considerations.

Cole played six games for the Rats before joining the Clones on December 12th. In his previous Albany stint, Cole had one assist and nine penalty minutes in six games. Cole is in his second season of pro hockey after splitting 2002-03 between Columbus (ECHL) and Albany. In 51 games with the Cottonmouths last season, Cole had four goals and five assists for nine points with 135 penalty minutes. He was held pointless in four games with the River Rats last season and rang up six penalty minutes.

Kingston joins the Clones after playing 31 ECHL games this season with the Charlotte Checkers and the Toledo Storm. Kingston has three goals and nine assists for 12 points this season. This is Kingston's first pro season after a four-year stay at Wayne State University. Kingston led Wayne State in scoring with 41 points (17 goals and 24 assists) during his senior season.
