Akron Aeros roster move
Published on June 6, 2008 under Eastern League (EL1)
Akron RubberDucks News Release
The Aeros made a roster move today, promoting LHP David Huff to Class AAA Buffalo and receiving LHP Scott Lewis from extended spring training.
Huff had been downright dominant for Akron this season, going 5-1 with a league-leading 1.92 ERA in 11 games (10 starts). He led the staff in innings pitched (65.2), strikeouts (62), WHIP (0.88), and batting average against (.189), and was tied with Frank Herrmann for the team lead in wins.
Lewis was scheduled to join Akron out of spring training, but suffered a strained left lat towards the end of camp. Last season in 27 appearances (25 starts) the Ohio State University product went 7-9 with a 3.68 ERA for Akron. He led all of minor league baseball with a 1.48 ERA for Kinston in 2006.
