THIS WEEK'S GAMES...The Milwaukee Admirals (10-4-3-2) enter this week's action in third place in the West Division trailing the division leading Grand Rapids Griffins (13-6-4-0) by only five points and the second place Chicago Wolves (11-5-3-2) by two points.

On Wednesday night, a share of second place will be on the line when the Wolves make their first of five visits to the Bradley Center. The Wolves and the Admirals will meet five times during the month of December, including twice on home ice. In twelve meetings last season the Admirals posted a 5-5-0-2 record, including a 4-1-0-1 mark at the Bradley Center.

The Wolves-Admirals series has been tightly contested since its inception with 67 of the 92 and 11 straight Bradley Center games having been decided by one or two goals. Milwaukee is 36-21-0-10 versus the Wolves in games decided by two or fewer goals , 47-34-1-10 lifetime and 28-16-0-5 lifetime at the Bradley Center.

On Friday night, the Admirals face the Grand Rapids Griffins in Grand Rapids. The Admirals lost the only previous meeting between the teams this season at the Bradley Center on November 14th. Milwaukee is 18-25-6-2 lifetime against Grand Rapids, including 5-15-2-1 at the Van Andel Arena.

LAST WEEK'S ACTION... The Admirals swept through Texas winning three straight games, including a 3-1 victory over the Houston Aeros on Monday night. Jay Henderson supplied the game winner and Brian Finley stopped 26 of 27 shots.

Over the weekend, the Admirals were victorious in a pair of games over their West Division rival, the San Antonio Rampage. On Friday night Milwaukee got two goals from Wyatt Smith en route to a 5-4 win. Saturday, the Admirals once again put up a 5-spot on the Rampage, this time registering a 5-3 victory. Smith and rookie sensation Timofei Shishkanov each recorded two-point games (1g-1a).

On Wednesday night, the St. John's Maple Leafs defeated the Admirals, 2-1at the Bradley Center. Brad Tiley opened thes scoring, but the Leafs scored two second period goals for the victory. Wade Flaherty stopped 24 of 26 Maple Leafs' shots.

ROAD WARRIORS!... The Admirals have been successful on the road picking up at least a point in ten of eleven road games this season. They sport a 6-1-2-2 road record accumulating 16 of a possible 22 points, for a .727 road winning percentage.

NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER...The Admirals finished the month of November with a 6-3-0-1 record, which is their best November since 1995 when they were 9-1-0-0. The Admirals also amassed eleven points on the road, which eclipsed their previous high of ten during November of 1989.

HONOR ROLL... First year player Timofei Shishkanov leads the Admirals with seven goals and 15 points. The 20-year old Moscow native has four points (1g-3a) in the past two games. Veteran Tony Hrkac has dished off nine assists to top Milwaukee playmakers. Scottie Upshall, Jay Henderson and Shishkanov all have two game winning goals to share top honors, while blueliners Curtis Murphy and Brad Tiley share the power play goal lead with two each. Wyatt Smith, who had a pair of two-point games in San Antonio, still has the Admirals only shorthander of the campaign. Admirals captain Ray Schultz leads the team in plus/minus rating with a +11 and in penalty minutes with 41.

MINDING THE MESH...Goaltender Brian Finley enters this week's action with a 6-5-2 record, 2.56 goals against average and a .917 save percentage. Veteran netminder Wade Flaherty suffered his first loss of the season last week but the 35-year old, Terrace B.C. native has a 4-1-1 record, a 2.31 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.

BITS AND PIECES...The Admirals enter this week's play with an 8-2-1-0 record against their West Division adversaries, including 6-0-1 on the road. Milwaukee is 8-0 when leading after two periods of play, 4-2-2 in one goal games and 5-0 in two goal games. Wyatt Smith, Curtis Murphy and Mathieu Darche are the only Milwaukee players this season with multiple goal games this season. In the three consecutive road wins, 16 different Admirals accounted for at least one point.
