Tony Martensson Named Fifth Third Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month for November

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Cincinnati Mighty Ducks center Tony Martensson has been named the Fifth Third Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month for November.

Martensson had a team-leading 13 points on four goals and nine assists with a plus-6 rating in 14 games to capture his second career Fifth Third Bank Player of the Month award.

Martensson posted an even or plus rating in 11 of 14 games and was involved in 39.4 percent of the Ducks goals during the month (13 of 33). He recorded a season-high four-game point streak (one goal, five assists) from November 1-8, and concluded the month with five points (two goals, three assists) in his last five games.

A seventh-round pick by Anaheim in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Martensson leads Cincinnati in scoring this season with 17 points (four goals, 13 assists) in 22 games. The 23-year-old Upplands Vasby, Sweden native scored 17 goals and a team-leading 43 points in 79 games as a rookie in 2002-2003 for Cincinnati.
