IN THE COMMUNITY
Joe's Job: Wednesday, December 3. Early risers, be sure to tune in to the WVEC 13News Daybreak morning show, when Admirals Steve Passmore and Duncan Keith join Joe Flanagan at Norfolk Scope.
Foodbank Food Drive: Now through December 13. The Admirals will continue collecting non-perishable food items at each home game through December 13 to benefit the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.
Toys for Tots: Saturday, December 6. The U.S. Marines will be collecting toys for their annual Toys for Tots program at Norfolk Scope when the Blue and Gold take on the Philadelphia Phantoms. Fans are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to the game for donation to this worthy cause. Gates open at 6:15 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. contest.
Pucks for Joy: Wednesday, December 10 and Friday, December 12. Once again this year, the Admirals players' wives and girlfriends will be selling wrapped autographed pucks during the Admirals' games both nights. Pucks are just $10, and proceeds benefit The Joy Fund.
Fourth Annual Toy Toss: Saturday, December 13. When the Blue and Gold score their first goal that night, fans are encouraged to toss a new plush toy onto the ice. The toys will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House and the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters (CHKD). If the Admirals don't score, the toy toss will take place after the game, once the players have left the ice.
