Buffalo Bisons News Release
Buffalo, NY - With Nitro Circus gearing up for the U.S. leg of its You Got This world tour, Nitro ringleader and action sports icon TRAVIS PASTRANA is now set to ride with the famed daredevils during their first-ever Buffalo stop. In addition to getting summer off to an early start, the Friday, May 24th Sahlen Field show will also be Pastrana's only New York appearance with Nitro Circus this year.
"One of our favorite things about going on the road is getting the chance to visit new places and seeing people's jaws drop as they witness the craziness that is Nitro Circus, live and in person," Travis Pastrana explains. "We feed off the crowd's energy and it definitely pumps us up to push the limits even farther." Pastrana adds, "Being memorial weekend, we know that Buffalo will be ready for a good time!"
Travis Pastrana will lead a star-studded cast of top tier international athletes, including an freestyle motocross (FMX) lineup featuring 12-time X Games medalist Jarryd McNeil and 8-time X Games medalist Mike Mason. Joining them are multi-sport sensation Ryan "R-Willy" Williams (a dual-threat champion on BMX and scooter) along with BMX stars such as the world's first quadruple backflipper Jed Mildon and X Games medalist Kurtis Downs.
Accomplished female FMX athlete Vicki Golden, a four-time X Games medalist in her own right, will make her first full U.S. tour debut with Nitro Circus. Beyond the road, Golden is also preparing to take on the motorcycle firewall record later this summer. The first woman to make the attempt, Golden will aim to make history during "Evel Live 2," premiering July 7th on HISTORY (for more on the challenge facing Golden go here).
With no roof there are no limits. You Got This' huge stage set features the Giganta ramp, now with its biggest takeoff yet, that launches athletes five stories into the air. On the moto side, FMX riders will fly 75 feet through the air from take-off to landing. The contraptions team has also cooked up some crazy new monstrosities for Nitro's daredevils to ride (they've already sent a wheeled recliner over a gaping 30-foot gap - what will they try for an encore?)
