A record for Rohlicek
April 10, 2005 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Iowa Cubs News Release
Iowa Cubs pitcher Russ Rohlicek set a franchise record â of sorts â with his relief appearance in Friday night's game at Albuquerque. Rohlicek is the first person in franchise history to play for both minor-league teams owned by Raccoon Baseball Incorporated. Rohlicek played for the low-A Michigan Battle Cats in 2002, the first season the Midwest League team was under the same ownership as the Iowa Cubs. He was traded to the Chicago Cubs organization late that season, and has worked his way to triple-A Iowa.
