Tacoma Returns Favor and Shuts Out Grizzlies 6-0

Fresno, CA- The Tacoma Rainiers used the nearly flawless performance of starter Cha-Seung Baek and two three-run innings to beat the Grizzlies 6-0 Saturday night in front of 7,513 at Grizzlies Stadium. The shutout came one night after the Grizzlies shut them out 3-0.

Baek (0-1) pitched six innings of one hit ball, while allowing only one hit and striking out six. Grizzlies' catcher Yamid Haad broke up the bid for a perfect game with a single to left with one out in the sixth inning.

Fresno starter Brad Hennessey (0-1) took the loss, pitching five innings, allowing three runs on three hits and walking four. Left fielder Adam Shabala increased his team-leading hitting streak to three games for the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies will look to split the first four-game series of the season tomorrow afternoon at 2:05 PM. Grizzlies LHP Patrick Misch (0-0) will start against RHP Joel Pinero (0-0) who is down on rehab assignment from the Seattle Mariners.
