LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the 2004 National League West Division Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, will return to Cashman Field to open an eight-game home stand on Tuesday, May 31, against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, at 7:05 p.m. Las Vegas will continue a stretch of 16 of 20 games at home from May 19 - June 7.

The 51s home attendance has surpassed the 100,000 mark and the team is averaging 4,676 (112,226) through 24 dates. The 51s had a season-high crowd of 11,585 on May 21 against Albuquerque.

The 51s (24-22), under manager Jerry Royster, are opening a brief four-game road trip tonight at Tucson (May 27-30). The 51s, winners of five straight, trail the Sidewinders (26-22) by just one game in the PCL's Pacific Southern Division.

The 51s will host the Sky Sox in a four-game series from Tuesday-Friday, May 31 - June 3, all games at 7:05 p.m. Budweiser Dollar Beer Night will be featured on Thursday, June 2 and dollar beer is presented at every Thursday home game throughout the season.

The zany antics of the ZOOperstars return to Cashman Field on Friday, June 3. The hilarious mascot entertainment act is fun for all ages.

Following the series against the Sky Sox, the 51s will host the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, in a four-game series from Saturday-Tuesday, June 4-7.

A post game Fireworks Show will be featured on Saturday, June 4 at 7:05 p.m. Precious Cheese will be giving away 10 bicycles to children 12 years of age and under. Kids will sign-up and names will be drawn for the opportunity to win. A total of 20 kids will be chosen and they will compete for the 10 bicycles prior to the fireworks show.

Game two of the series will feature a matinee contest on Sunday, June 5 at 12:05 p.m. The final two games of the series will be played at 7:05 p.m.

Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the Cashman Field box office. The box office is open Monday-Friday from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through TicketMaster (474-4000, www.ticketmaster.com). TicketMaster outlets are located at Smith's Food & Drug, Tower Records and Nellis Air Force Base.

The individual game tickets for the 72-game home season are priced at $7.00 (general admission), $8.00 (reserved), $10.00 (plaza) and $12 (field). A $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza, reserved and G.A. seats throughout the season except for the Holiday Firework shows on July 2 & 3. The Dugout Seats for the entire home schedule are sold out.
