
38th Annual Irish Festival comes to FirstEnergy Park on June 14

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - On Saturday, June 14, the BlueClaws will proudly host the 38th Annual New Jersey Irish Festival at FirstEnergy Park in partnership with the WRAT and WJRZ. It is the second consecutive year the BlueClaws will host the event after a 36 year run in Holmdel.
Tickets are now on sale at the FirstEnergy Park ticket office, online at BlueClaws.com, or by calling the BlueClaws at (732) 901-7000. Tickets cost just $8 if purchased in advance and $10 on the day of the event.
Events that day include a pipe-band competition, entertainment throughout the day and a 5 p.m. Mass. There will also be various Irish vendors around the concourse sampling displaying a wide variety of merchandise.
"We are glad to be welcoming the Irish Festival back to FirstEnergy Park for the second straight year," Lakewood BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown said. "Thanks to the WRAT, WJRZ and everyone involved with organizing the event. After last year's successful event, we think next week's festival is going to be even better."
Featuring food, music, merchandise, games, raffles, and additional entertainment for children, the New Jersey Irish Festival is a day-long celebration of Irish culture and heritage. This year's event begins at 9 a.m. and will feature live entertainment all day long.
"We are thrilled to be hosting the Irish Festival at FirstEnergy Park for the second straight year," said Jim Byrne, Chairman of the New Jersey Irish Festival. "Last year's event was a huge success, combining one of New Jersey's most fun and entertaining traditions with one of its finest facilities."
Entertainment includes performances by the New York Show Band, Willie Lynch, Searson, Celtic Cross and the DeNogla School of Dance.
The BlueClaws return to FirstEnergy Park for a seven- game home stand starting Monday, June 2. Tickets are available for every BlueClaws home game as Lakewood makes a run at the Northern Division title.
