Greenville Drive News Release

Greenville, S.C. - As a continuation of the Drive's commitment to provide the best Minor League Baseball experience possible to the Upstate of South Carolina, the team has announced an extended partnership with WMYA My40 that includes televising four Greenville Drive games this season, two at Fluor Field.

WMYA My40 will broadcast two Drive games live from Fluor Field - June 21st and July 1st - and two more on the road - June 7th and 28th.

"The Drive is delighted to showcase Greenville's professional baseball team and its award winning ballpark across the Upstate", noted Craig Brown, Drive Co-Owner and President. "The Drive's growing fan base, plus the popularity of Fluor Field and our Red Sox affiliation represents a very attractive combination of elements for the Upstate television market. These broadcasts promise to be a big win for our fans, our corporate partners and for Greenville's unique downtown baseball experience!"

Separated by less than 75 miles, the Drive and Asheville Tourists rivalry will be enhanced as the two teams meet in three of My40's broadcasts - June 7th, June 28th, and July 1st. The first game from Fluor Field, on June 21st, will feature another team from the state of North Carolina, the Hickory Crawdads.

"By televising selected Drive games from both Fluor Field and on the road, My40 is able to reach into and develop a market that we have not had access to in the past," stated Jack Connors, General Manager of WMYA. "It is WMYA My40's goal to build a regional sports network that features professional, high school and collegiate athletics. Adding the Drive and Fluor Field to our program offerings this summer is an exciting and highly credible step in that direction."

Drive General Manager, Mike deMaine, summed it up, saying, "These broadcasts will make it possible to share some of the excitement and enjoyment of Fluor Field - in prime time - with folks across the region who have not yet had the opportunity to personally experience the family fun and entertainment that's waiting for them here in Downtown Greenville. Those who tune in will see one of the premier ballparks in America, filled with some of the happiest, and best, fans in all of baseball."
