
2011 All-Rookie Team Goalie Eddie Lack Among Three Sent to Chicago

The Vancouver Canucks have assigned goaltender EDDIE LACK, the American Hockey League's All-Rookie goaltender in 2011, to the Chicago Wolves. In addition, forwards MIKE DUCO (DOO-koh) and JORDAN SCHROEDER (SHRAY-duhr) have been assigned to the Wolves.
LACK shared first among AHL rookies and tied for fourth overall in the league with 28 victories and ranked seventh in the circuit with a 2.26 goals-against average in 53 outings with the Manitoba Moose. The 23-year-old netminder posted a 28-21-4 record and shared fourth in the league with a .926 save percentage for the Moose during his AHL debut. The Norrtalje, Sweden, native also posted a 6-5 mark, 1.99 goals-against average, .932 save percentage and two shutouts in 12 Calder Cup playoff contests last year. His 1.99 goals-against average ranked fourth among league netminders, while his .932 save percentage held third.
SCHROEDER ranked seventh on Manitoba with 28 (10G, 18A) in 61 matchups as a rookie last season. He also posted five assists and six points in 14 Calder Cup postseason contests. Prior to turning pro, the 21-year-old forward spent two seasons at the University of Minnesota (2008-2010, recording 22 goals, 51 assists and 73 points in 72 games.
DUCO set professional career-highs with 20 goals and 31 points in 67 AHL outings with the Rochester Americans last season. His 20 goals paced the Americans, while his 31 points held seventh on the team. The 24-year-old forward also skated in two National Hockey League games with the Florida Panthers last season, accruing 10 penalty minutes.
