12 Former Grizzlies On NHL Playoff Rosters

West Valley City, Utah - 12 former Utah Grizzlies players are on NHL playoff rosters as the postseason begins tonight with four games. The Dallas Stars have three former Utah players with Antti Miettinen, Steve Ott and Trevor Daley as they get ready to open their first round series tomorrow with the Anaheim Ducks who carry two former Utah players on their roster in Todd Bertuzzi and Scott Niedermayer. Niedermayer won the Stanley Cup last year with the Ducks.

In addition, Jim Dowd and Jaroslav Modry will represent the Philadelphia Flyers, goaltender Dan Ellis the Nashville Predators, Mark Streit the Montreal Canadiens, John Erskine the Washington Capitals, Jeff Taffe the Pittsburgh Penguins and Frederic Sjostrom the New York Rangers.

The ECHL's Kelly Cup playoffs are scheduled to begin Sunday, April 13 in Fresno with the Grizzlies scheduled to play at home in the postseason's first-round Wednesday, April 16; Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19*.
