
Cyclones-Johnstown Series Schedule Update

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones (55-12-5) of the ECHL will take on the Johnstown Chiefs in the North Division semifinals, beginning this weekend at U.S. Bank Arena. The series is a best-of-seven, that starts in Cincinnati on Friday night (April 11) and Saturday night (April 12), both games are at 7:30pm. The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate for the Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators of the NHL.
Johnstown (36-30-3) advanced to the semifinals tonight, by virtue of a 5-0 win over Dayton-to claim the best-of-three quarterfinals series in a two game sweep. The Chiefs will host the middle three games of the series with the Cyclones. The third game would be Tuesday night (April 15) at 7pm from the Cambria County War Memorial. The fourth game would be the next night, Wednesday, April 16, also at 7pm. A sixth game, if necessary, would be played in Johnstown on Saturday, April 19 at 7pm.
Should the fifth and/or seventh game be necessary, they would be played at U.S. Bank Arena on Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21, both nights at 7:30pm.
This will be the first time that the Cyclones and Johnstown have met in the Kelly Cup playoffs. This season, Cincinnati posted an 8-1-1 record, against Johnstown, but the Chiefs have the last two wins in the series. All-time, Cincinnati has a 27-12-5 (.670 win percentage) mark versus the Chiefs and a 15-8 slate (.652) at U.S. Bank Arena.
For fans holding tickets to all playoff games, Game A is for game one on Friday, April 11. The Game B ticket is for the game on Saturday, April 12. If the sixth game is needed, Game C would be the ticket needed for Friday, April 18. Should a seventh game be necessary, Game D would be for that Monday, April 21 contest. Tickets not used in this round will serve as the first tickets needed for future games.
