Ice Dogs Agree to Terms With Gary Zinck

Long Beach, Calif. – Ice Dogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Malcolm Cameron, announced today he has agreed to terms with defenseman Gary Zinck. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 6-3, 210 pound Cole Harbor, Nova Scotia native is the third player to join Long Beach who previously played for Cameron. Last season he spent 34 games in Columbus of the UHL, registering 1-1-2 and 74 penalty minutes before playing out the final 29 games of the season for Corpus Christi, recording five assists and 39 penalty minutes. Zinck also played one regular season game and six playoff games for the Ice Dogs back in the 2000-01 season when the team was in the WCHL

"Gary is a steady, stay-at-home defenseman who is great at clearing the net", said Cameron. "He has great size and is a very tough and aggressive player."

"I'm really excited about the opportunity", said Zinck. "I already know some of the guys and am looking forward to playing in Long Beach again."

Season tickets for the 2004-2005 season are on sale now in all price ranges. Fans who pay for their season tickets in full by August 1 will receive an exclusive season ticket holder jersey.
