Titans acquire McPherson

TRENTON, NJ (June 4, 2004) - The Trenton Titans announced today they have acquired forward Andrew McPherson from the Roanoke Express. The acquisition completes the trade in which defenseman Shaun Fisher was sent to Roanoke in exchange for future considerations.

McPherson – 6'1", 205 lbs. – appeared in 70 games for the Express last season, tallying 17 goals, 20 assists and 130 PIM. He was a four-year letterman at Rensaleer Polytechnic Institute and a ninth round pick (#261 overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. A third-year pro, McPherson split his rookie season between the Wheeling Nailers and Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL as well as the New Mexico Scorpions of the CHL.

Fisher, acquired from the Texas Wildcatters in exchange for the rights to Martin Masa, dressed for 10 games with the Titans in 2003-04. He chipped in 1 assist and 12 PIM before being sent to Roanoke on February 28.
