Thunder Acquire Brendan Dowler from Fort Wayne
June 17, 2026 - GLENS FALLS - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets, have announced that the club has completed a future considerations trade with the Fort Wayne Komets by acquiring defenseman Brendan Dowler.
Dowler, 29, was acquired by Fort Wayne from the Kalamazoo Wings in a future considerations trade after appearing in 15 games this season with Worcester, Tahoe and Kalamazoo. The 6-foot-3, 201-pound defenseman recorded two points and a plus-seven rating.

Capital District Mayor's Cup Coming to Harding Mazzotti Arena
June 16, 2026 - GLENS FALLS - The Adirondack Thunder, Union College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) announced today that the 2027 Capital District Mayor's Cup women's and men's hockey games will be played at Harding Mazzotti Arena in Glens Falls on Saturday, January 23, 2027, bringing one of college hockey's premier rivalries to one of the region's most passionate hockey markets.

Thunder Sign Cloutier, Holmstrom to Two-Year Extensions
May 29, 2026 - GLENS FALLS - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets, have announced that the club has signed Head Coach Sylvain Cloutier and Associate Head Coach Ben Holmstrom to two-year deals through the 2027-28 season.
