Sens Fall to Marlies in Final Visit to Toronto
January 9, 2026 - BELLEVILLE, ON - The Belleville Senators were back on the ice after some time off to take on the Toronto Marlies on the road, dropping in a 6-1 final.
It took almost the entire period to see a goal, though the Marlies were the first to hit the back of the net. A scramble play in front, created by Marc Johnstone and Michael Pezzetta, saw Reese Johnson poke home his fifth of the year to give Toronto a 1-0 lead.

Belleville Senators Sign Goaltender James Reimer to Professional Tryout
January 9, 2026 - BELLEVILLE, ON - The Belleville Senators announced today they have signed goaltender James Reimer to a professional tryout (PTO).
Reimer, 37, most recently played two games for Team Canada at the Spengler Cup in Switzerland. He split the 2024-25 season with the Buffalo Sabres and Anaheim Ducks. Over parts of 15 NHL seasons, Reimer has appeared in 525 games with the Maple Leafs, Panthers, Sharks, Hurricanes, Red Wings, Sabres and Ducks.
