
Mavericks Sign First Round NHL Draft Pick

INDEPENDENCE, MO (Nov. 24, 2015)- The Missouri Mavericks announced Tuesday afternoon that they have signed left winger Kyle Beach to a standard player contract ahead of their three-game home-stand at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena during Thanksgiving week. Beach was drafted eleventh overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2008 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft.
"We are happy to bring Kyle to the Mavericks," said Richard Matvichuk, Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations for the Missouri Mavericks. "He has good size, good speed, and we think he will make a great addition to our lineup."
Beach, a native of Kelowna, British Columbia, started the 2015-16 season overseas with Salzburg EC before signing with the Mavericks. The twenty-five year old left wing has spent significant time in the American Hockey League (AHL) since the 2008 draft, registering 181 games with the Rockford IceHogs and 39 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack.
Kyle Beach will wear #49 for the Mavericks.

The Mavs play their next three games at home, pairing up against the Quad City Mallards on Nov. 25, and the Indy Fuel on Nov. 27 and Nov. 28 at Silvertstein Eye Centers Arena.
