Orlando's Foster Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - T.J.?Foster of the Orlando Solar Bears is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 16-22.

Foster scored four goals and added four assists for eight points in three games last week.

The 23-year-old scored the game-winning goal in overtime and added an assist in a 6-5 win at Greenville on Tuesday, picked up a hat trick in addition to an assist in a 6-4 victory at Evansville on?Friday and had a pair of assists in a 4-3 shootout loss at Cincinnati on Saturday.

Under contract to Toronto of the American Hockey League, Foster has 11 points (6g-5a) in 12 games with the Solar Bears this season.

Prior to turning pro, Foster scored 65 points (23g-42a) in 52 games at the University of Alberta while recording 256 points (101g-155a) in 338 career games with?Edmonton of the Western Hockey League.

On behalf of T.J.?Foster, a case of pucks will be donated to an Orlando youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 33,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
