Alaska Aces News Release

ANCHORAGE, AK - The Alaska Aces are pleased to announce the signing of Collin Valcourt to a contract for this season.

Head Coach and President of Hockey Operations Rob Murray made the announcement Tuesday.

The 22 year old Valcourt, a native of Prince George, BC, Canada, comes to Alaska as a free agent after being released earlier this season by Quad City. In 11 games with the Mallards, Valcourt had 4 assists and 12 penalty minutes. The 6-2, 215 pound forward last season played for HK Hradec Kralove in the Czech League, scoring 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points in 29 games.

"Collin has good size and is willing to use it in physical play," said Murray. "He will add grit to our team."

To make room on the roster for Valcourt, forward David Eddy has been placed on the 21 day IR, retroactive to November 18.

The Aces return home for a three-game series with Evansville starting Friday, November 27. Get your tickets by stopping by the Aces ticket office Wednesday or Friday from 9-5 at 15th and Gambell, or go online at www.alaskaaces.com.

The Aces office will be closed Thursday.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at the Alaska Aces!
