
Anel De Los Santos to Arkansas; Braulio Pardo arrives from Orem

July 7, 2008 - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce today that catcher Anel De Los Santos has been promoted to the Arkansas Travelers of the Texas League and that catcher Braulio Pardo will join the Kernels from Orem.
Pardo was selected by the Angels in the 12th round of the 2008 Free Agent Draft out of St. Leo College in Lake Buena Vista FL. The Lutz FL native has played in seven games at Orem and is batting .250 (7-28) with two doubles and three RBI.
De Los Santos leaves the Kernels batting .178 with 3 HR and 25 RBI in 62 games and threw out 32 runners in 94 stolen base attempts.
Pardo will be in Cedar Rapids and available for tonight's game with Kane County. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster remains at the MWL maximum of 25 active players with five players currently on the disabled list.
