Bertoli named captain of American Conference All-Star Team

TRENTON, NJ (January 17, 2006) - The Trenton Titans in conjunction with the ECHL announced on Tuesday that left wing Scott Bertoli has been selected as captain of the American Conference All-Star Team at the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game presented by Bud Light on January 25 at Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

Bertoli, 28, was voted a starter for the second time on December 31 and is making the second ECHL All-Star appearance in his seven-year career. Hailing from Milton, Ontario, Bertoli has spent all but four of his 419 professional games with the Trenton Titans and is the team's all-time leader in games played (415), goals (142), assists (275) and points (417).

Bertoli also leads the Titans this season with 11 goals and 26 assists and 37 points, which is tied for 15th in ECHL scoring.

The alternate captains for the American Conference are Florida forward Ernie Hartlieb and Charlotte defenseman Rory Rawlyk, who are both making their first All-Star appearance.
