Lingren gets his "C" legs

Victoria, BC - The ECHL announced today that Victoria Salmon Kings Veteran Steve Lingren has been selected as the Captain for the National Conference in the All-Star Game, taking place on January 25th in Fresno, CA.

Voted as a starter for the second time and making his third ECHL All-Star Game appearance, Lingren leads Victoria and league defensemen with 15 goals and 10 power-play goals while his 30 points tie him for second among ECHL defensemen.

Lingren, from Lake Cowichan, BC, has played twelve professional seasons in the IHL, ECHL, AHL and DEL, and four seasons with the Victoria Cougars (WHL).

The alternate captains for the National Conference are Idaho right wing Garett Bembridge, who is making his first start and All-Star Game appearance, and Fresno left wing Luke Curtin, who is making his second consecutive start and third start overall while playing in his fourth ECHL All-Star Game.

Sopranos Kareoke and Sports Bar will be showing the 2006 All-Star Game on January 25th at 7:00 pm (PT).
