Philadelphia Union Acquire Defender Finn Sundstrom from D.C. United

December 30, 2025 - CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union announced today that the club has acquired Finn Sundstrom via transfer from North Carolina FC. Sundstrom is under contract through 2028 with club options for 2029 and 2030. In order to complete the transaction, the Union acquired Sundstrom's rights from D.C. United in exchange for the club's natural first-round selection in the 2028 MLS SuperDraft after D.C. selected the player off Waivers. Late Comeback Falls Short

December 28, 2025 - The Philadelphia Wings attempted a late comeback but couldn't fully close the gap in a 15-11 road setback to the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday night. Rochester scored the game's first three goals and never really looked back, eventually opening a 5-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Wings were never able to get closer than a pair of goals the rest of the way. December 27, 2025 - TEAM NOTES After a back-and-forth game, the Philadelphia Wings fell short in Ottawa, losing 16-12 to the Black Bears. Brennan O'Neill led the Wings with six goals and two assists, achieving his first sock trick in the NLL. Goaltender Deacan Knott made his first start of the season, recording 40 saves.
