October 19, 2016 - NORFOLK, VA. - Greenville Swamp Rabbits goaltender Brandon Halverson made 27 saves in net to lead his team to a 2-0 shutout win over the Norfolk Admirals on Wednesday. The Admirals looked strong in the opening moments, jumping out to an early 6-0 lead in shots, but were unable to convert on their chances. Laurikainen Recalled, Tarasuk Dealt to Alaska

October 18, 2016 - The Norfolk Admirals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, have traded defensemen Steve Tarasuk to the Alaska Aces, the team announced on Tuesday. Tarasuk, 26, played in the team's season opener against Kalamazoo on Friday, however was scratched on Saturday. The Aces will be the 10th different ECHL organization the right-handed defensemen will play for in his career. October 15, 2016 - NORFOLK, VA. - Former Admiral netminder Nic Riopel stole the show on Saturday night stopping all 20 shots sent his way, en route to a shutout victory for the Kalamazoo Wings. Admirals Fall to Kalamazoo on Opening Night

October 14, 2016 - NORFOLK, VA. - The Norfolk Admirals began their 2016-17 season with a 3-1 loss to the Kalamazoo Wings on Friday. The game started off with a physical display by both teams, however then with about eight minutes remaining in the opening period, Kalamazoo struck first on an even-strength goal.
