Admirals Goaltender Anderson Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

January 17, 2017 - PRINCETON, N.J. - Brandon Anderson of the Norfolk Admirals is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 9-15. It is the third time in his career that he has received the weekly honor. Anderson went 2-0-0 with shutouts in both of his appearances last week. The 24-year-old stopped all 17 shots he faced in a 5-0 win at Greenville on Friday and turned aside all 27 shots in a 3-0 victory over the Swamp Rabbits on Saturday. January 16, 2017 - DULUTH, GA. - The Norfolk Admirals (12-20-4-0) set a new league record for most consecutive minutes played without allowing a goal on Monday, en route to a 3-1 victory over the Atlanta Gladiators (15-18-4-1). Before any scoring could occur, Admirals goaltender Brandon Anderson made history, snapping the team record for most consecutive minutes played without allowing a goal. January 15, 2017 - DULUTH, GA. - The Bakersfield Condors, American Hockey League affiliate of the Norfolk Admirals, announced the recall of defensemen Mikael Tam and Frankie Simonelli on Sunday. Tam, who was sent to Norfolk on December 13, recorded 14 points in 12 games with the club. On December 17th, the Quebec native recorded just the fourth hat trick in Admirals history in a 5-2 win over South Carolina.
