Florida Everblades News Release
Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades announced today that goaltender Rob Zepp has been recalled by the Everblades AHL affiliate Lowell Lock Monsters and goaltender Randy Petruk has been reassigned to Florida. Petruk has played in 5 games with the Blades this season posting a 3-2-0 record along with a 3.60 goals against average.
Florida has already clinched their fifth straight Kelly Cup Playoff berth. However, the Everblades and Pee Dee Pride are still battling it out to determine who will be the #3 and #4 seeds in the Southeast Division. The Pride need two points in their next three contests to secure the #3 seed. Pee Dee hosts Greenville on Thursday night and visits South Carolina on Saturday and Augusta on Sunday. The Blades trail the Pride by two points in the standings and host Columbia on Friday and Saturday night at TECO Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 PM on both nights. If the Everblades should finish in the fourth spot in the Southeast Division they will host the #4 - #5 Wild Card game on Tuesday, March 1st designated as Game 'A' in the playoff package. Playoff Game 'A' will go on-sale at the TECO Arena box office and at all Ticketmaster locations or by phone at (239) 334-3309 on Friday morning at 10 AM.
The Everblades will also hold Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday night when Florida battles the Southeast Division Champion Columbia Inferno. Several thousand fans will receive a gift bag full of sponsor and Everblade merchandise and coupons from the Everblades sponsors. One lucky fan will walk away with a 16ft Carolina Skiff with a trailer courtesy of Marina Mike's. Also, the first 500 female fans through the doors on Saturday night will receive a ½ carat cubic zirconia courtesy of Dunkin's Diamonds. One of the cubic zirconia will be engraved. Fans must bring their stone to the Dunkin's Diamond's in Fort Myers to determine if their stone has been engraved, if so, that lucky fan will receive a real ½ carat diamond.
