
2003 Fan's Choice Banquet presented by Reading Eagle Honors Key Team Players

Reading, PA â On the evening of Tuesday, March 25 at the Sovereign Center, the Reading Royals organization held the annual Fan's Choice Awards Banquet presented by Reading Eagle Company.
"The Royals organization would like to thank the loyal fans for their continued support throughout the Royals' sophomore season. They made each night in the Sovereign Center a night to remember," said Royals General Manager Ray Delia. "And, our extreme gratitude is also extended to the players, coaching staff, front office staff, corporate sponsors, neighborhood partners and the Sovereign Center for each of their key roles on the Royals team."
Lisa Johnson, Art Director of the Marketing and Promotions Department of the Reading Eagle Company, presented trophies to the outstanding team players. The final tallies of the fans' votes indicated the following winners:
· DeCarlo Custom Cabinetry Rookie of the Year, Center #47 Alex Kim
· Van Lear Equipment Unsung Hero, Center/Left Wing #7 Colin Pepperall
· V&M Towing Outstanding Defensive Player, Goalie #39 Jeff Sanger
· Nathaniel Ehrlich, Esquire Outstanding Offensive Player, Left Wing #37 Brian McCullough
· The Works Most Valuable Player, Goalie #39 Jeff Sanger
· Reading Eagle Fan's Choice, Center #9 Brad Rooney
Shame provided the evening's entertainment. And, door prizes from various local companies were also available to thank guests for their season-long commitment.
Over $3,000 was raised to benefit Royals Charities through the Silent Auction. Fans placed top bids for silent auction items such as autographed photograph of Sanger, McCullough game-worn Manchester Monarchs jersey and other assorted sports and Royals memorabilia.
Royals Charities is committed to providing assistance to charitable organizations throughout Reading, PA, and the surrounding area serving seriously ill, disabled or disadvantaged youth and their families through fundraising activities, charitable drives and charitable grants or donations.
