
Zephyrs, Dodgers Duel for Four Games

Metairie, LA - Coming off a winning road trip, the New Orleans Zephyrs return home to open a four-game series against the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The Zephyrs have seen a recent offensive outburst vault their team batting average into the top five in the Pacific Coast League, with four different hitters ranking among the league's top 10. Miguel Rojas is riding a 10-game hitting streak and owns a team-high ..357 average, while Vinny Rottino (.347) Cole Gillespie (.337) are currently on nine-game streaks. Brady Shoemaker (.346) is on a seven-game streak and is fourth in the PCL with a .422 on-base percentage. Meanwhile, the Z's pitching staff is second in the PCL, led by Jose Urena, who leads the league with a 0.77 ERA while Justin Nicolino ranks third at 1.82, as the Z's have closed to within two games of first place.
The pitching probables for the series:
Tuesday 6 PM: LHP Justin Nicolino (2-0, 1.82) vs. RHP P.J. Walters (0-0, 4.50)
Wednesday 11 AM: RHP Jose Urena (2-0, 0.77) vs. RHP Zach Lee (4-2, 2.38)
Thursday 7 PM: LHP Adam Conley (3-1, 3.34) vs. RHP Randy Fontanez (1-0, 0.00)
Friday 7 PM: LHP Pat Misch (2-2, 2.95) vs. TBA
On Tuesday night, Zephyr Field will be peanut-free to accommodate baseball fans with whose peanut allergies prevent them from attending games. Following an 11 a.m. contest on Wednesday, Thursday will be Ladies' Night, in which all women receive free admission. There will also be a Koozi giveaway to the first 400 adults, compliments of Herzing University. Thursday's game is the latest Thirsty Thursday presented by Budweiser, with $1 soft drinks and draft beers, $2 canned beers, plus $4 craft beers and $5 well drinks.
The first 500 fans ages 21 and older to Friday's contest will receive a Zephyrs replica jersey, courtesy of Silver Slipper Casino, who will also provide the next 500 fans (21 and up) with a Zephyrs jersey t-shirt. It's also Seinfeld Night, as any fan that dresses up as a Seinfeld character will receive a $5 ticket, and a postgame fireworks show will immediately follow the game.
