The Stingrays were doubled-up by the Texas Wildcatters 4-2 last night at the North Charleston Coliseum. Travis Morin scored his league-leading fifth shorthanded goal of the season, while Pierre-Luc O'Brien netted a power play marker in the losing cause. Wheeling, meanwhile, allowed 58 shots in a 5-3 loss in Gwinnett last evening to the Gladiators.

In their only other meeting of the 2007-08 campaign, South Carolina drubbed the Nailers, 6-2, on Oct. 26 in Wheeling ... The Stingrays have lost five of their last seven contests ... Stingrays D Grant McNeill skated with the Nailers last season, and played alongside Wheeling's Jeremy Swanson with San Antonio (AHL) and Texas (ECHL) in 2004-05, and with the Florida Everblades in 05-06 ... Nailers D Todd Spencer and South Carolina's Pierre-Luc O'Brien were teammates for four years at Sacred Heart University.
