Elmira Jackals News Release

Elmira, NY- The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that their offensive core has been enhanced with the addition of forward Colton Yellow Horn. Yellow Horn joins the Jackals after spending the early part of this season playing in Austria.

Yellow Horn scored a whopping 153 goals for 349 points in 330 games in the Western Hockey League. The 5'6'' 175 pound Brocket, Alberta native led his respective teams in scoring for four straight seasons in the WHL. In that span he led the Lethbridge Eagles, a team that featured the NHL's top rookie scorer Kris Versteeg, with 86 points as a 17 year old. Yellow Horn is expected to join the Jackals this Saturday when they host the Trenton Devils at First Arena.

"I'm looking for Colton to be our catalyst for the second half stretch. He's comparable to David Desharnais as someone that can generate a lot of offense and be very entertaining to watch." Said Jackals Head Coach Steve Martinson.

The Jackals continue play tonight with a match up in Dayton against the Bombers. Don't miss any of the action, join Nick Hulberg the "Voice" of the Jackals on the WOKN 99.5 in Elmira, 102.5 in Corning, WVIN 98.3 in Bath and at www.jackalshockey.com for the play by play action.
