Yard Goats to Host 2nd Annual Disability Dream & Do Baseball Camp on Saturday

Hartford, Conn - The Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, will be hosting it 2nd Annual Disability Dream & Do (D3) Baseball Camp on Saturday, July 13th from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Yard Goats players and coaches will be working with local children and adults with special needs or disabilities. All participants will receive a free camp T-shirt and lunch will be provided by City Steam Brewery of downtown Hartford. The camp is presented by the Dave Clark Foundation and will feature athlete and instructor Dave Stevens, a congenital amputee, who is a motivational speaker. Stevens will also take batting practice with the Yard Goats later that day. All media is welcome to cover the event.

The Yard Goats will provide a day filled with baseball for children and young adults with disabilities and allow them to get instruction from the professional players and coaches. There will be various stations set up to learn hitting and fielding skills as well as a "high five game" with the campers. A Participation Awards Ceremony will conclude the events at Dunkin' Donuts Park.

The Hartford Yard Goats continue their seven game homestand tonight and host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays affiliate) at Dunkin' Donuts Park (7:05 PM).
