Yablonski Returning to IceCats

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau announced today that the Worcester IceCats have recalled forward Jeremy Yablonski from the IceCats ECHL affiliate, the Peoria (IL) Rivermen. Also today, the IceCats loaned defenseman Joe Vandermeer to the Peoria Rivermen.

Yablonski participated in 20 games with the IceCats last season and 24 with the Peoria Rivermen. His 2002-2003 IceCats totals included one goal and 50 penalty minutes: 20(1/0/1)50. While with the Rivermen, the 6-1, 232 pounder registered one goal, two assists and 154 penalty minutes: 24(1/2/3)15 in 2002-03. The Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan-born forward has skated in five games for the Rivermen this season, recording two assists and 28 penalty minutes. He has not appeared in a game for the IceCats this season.

Vandermeer, who was recalled from Peoria on October 21st, appeared in two games for the IceCats, recording no points. Prior to coming to Worcester, the 26 year-old skated in two games for the Rivermen, notching two assists.

The IceCats are home to face the Manchester Monarchs on Friday, November 7th and Norfolk Admirals on Saturday the 8th. Centrum Centre game times are 7:05 PM.
