Bulldogs Play Three-in-Three this Weekend

The Hamilton Bulldogs will have another jam-packed weekend, as they will play three games in three nights. The Bulldogs will begin the weekend by hosting their long time rivals, the St. John's Maple Leafs, on Friday, November 7th (7:00 p.m.) at Copps Coliseum. After Friday's game the Bulldogs will travel to Grand Rapids on Saturday (7:30 p.m.), where they will be looking for the team's first win of the season over the Griffins. The Bulldogs will round out the weekend on Sunday, November 9th (6:00 p.m.) as the Chicago Wolves make their first ever visit to Copps Coliseum.

This past weekend saw the Bulldogs win two of three games. On Friday night the Bulldogs came from behind to defeat the Rochester Americans 4-3. The Bulldogs then played host to the Cleveland Barons in a two-day double header. The Bulldogs were victorious in overtime on Saturday (3-2) and then dropped a 4-2 decision on Sunday.

The Hamilton Bulldogs recorded their 250th regular season win all-time when they defeated the Cleveland Barons on Friday night.

BULLDOGS TO WEAR REMEMBRANCE TRIBUTE JERSEY - FRIDAY:

The Hamilton Bulldogs will be paying tribute to Remembrance Day on Friday, November 7th night when they host the St. John's Maple Leafs at Copps Coliseum. All Bulldogs players will be wearing special 'Remembrance Day Tribute Jerseys' for the game. The jerseys worn on Friday will be auctioned off at the game. KILGER RETURNS TO THE CANADIENS:

Montreal Canadiens' General Manager, Bob Gainey, Monday announced that forward Chad Kilger has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

Kilger was assigned to Hamilton for conditioning purposes on October 29. He played in two games with the Bulldogs, and recorded one goal (1-0-1).

SVITOV RECALLED BY LIGHTNING:

Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled center Alexander Svitov from Hamilton of the American Hockey League, Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced. Svitov, 21, has appeared in 11 games with Hamilton this season, recording three goals, two assists and 31 penalty minutes. He skated in 63 games with the Lightning as a rookie in 2002-03, posting four goals, four assists and 58 penalty minutes. He was scoreless in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games last season.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

The Bulldogs have currently have the AHL's ninth best penalty killing unit, which has a 86.7% success (52 for 60). On the power play the Bulldogs are rated 22nd in the AHL operating at 11.5% (6 for 52).

JOE CAHILL HOSTS 'DOGBITES WEELY RADIO SHOW on 820 CHAM & 610 CKTB

Beginning this Monday, October 27th at 7:30 p.m. legendary radio personality Joe Cahill will host 'DOGBITES - a weekly half-hour Hamilton Bulldogs radio show on Hamilton's 820 CHAM. This week Bulldogs play-by-play announcer Derek Wills will join Joe Cahill. The weekly show will feature Bulldogs interviews, highlights from the past week, trivia and much more.
