Moose Turn Back the Clock on Nostalgia Night

The Manitoba Moose would like to announce the first in a series of five special nights this season to honor the final year of hockey in the Winnipeg Arena. The first event in the "Building Memories...Building Excitement" theme for the 2003-04 season will occur Saturday, November 8, 2003 when the Manitoba Moose turn back the clock for "Nostalgia Night" against the Chicago Wolves at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, November 8 the Manitoba Moose will celebrate the historical hockey memories that occurred between 1955-1971 at the Winnipeg Arena. We will take you back to the days of the Winnipeg Warriors, Winnipeg Braves, Winnipeg Maroons and the Winnipeg Monarchs.

The game will be the way it was in the 1950's and 1960's with:

· Nostalgic pricing with regular hotdogs and boxed popcorn priced at only $1.00 each!

· No advertisement PA's

· No jumbotron advertisements

· No music, organ only- the legendary Winnipeg Arena organ player Greg James will entertain the crowd

· Ramp Attendants will be in costume

· Premium Poster Giveaway, celebrating the great moments of the 50's & 60's that occurred in the Winnipeg Arena.

· Special Guest appearances from the teams that ruled the Winnipeg Arena from 1955-1971.

Nostalgia Night will be followed up by four other theme nights this season remembering the great eras of hockey played in the Winnipeg Arena as the future of pro hockey in this province shifts to the True North Centre.
