Wranglers sign rookie defenseman, welcome back Crampton

LAS VEGAS, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that they have signed rookie defenseman Chad Anderson and winger Steve Crampton was returned from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.

Chad Anderson is a six-foot four-inch defenseman from the University of Alaska-Anchorage. During his four year career with Alaska-Anchorage, Anderson totaled 16 goals and 33 assists for 49 points in 138 games played. The Chisago City, MN native put together collegiate career highs this season with seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points and racked up 96 penalty minutes in 34 games. The 24-year old defenseman joined the University of Alaska-Anchorage after playing four seasons in the USHL with the Twin City Vulcans and Tri-City Storm. Anderson will wear jersey number 44, and will make his debut with the Wranglers tonight when the Wranglers play the Ice Dogs in Long Beach.

Steve Crampton rejoins the Wranglers after playing in two games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers registering one shot on goal and a minus-one rating. In 66 games with the Wranglers this season, Crampton is second on the team with 21 goals, 35 assists and 56 points. Crampton's 124 penalty minutes leads the team. Crampton rejoined the team last night in time to score a goal in the Wranglers 4-3 win over the Long Beach Ice Dogs.

The Wranglers will play in Long Beach on Wednesday, April 4th at 7:00 pm. Las Vegas will conclude the season with two games against Stockton at the Orleans Arena on Friday, April 6th and Saturday, April 7th at 7:05 pm. Friday, the Wranglers will hand out hats to the first 2,000 fans compliments of KB Home.
