
Wranglers edge Dogs 4-3 to win tenth straight

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Long Beach Ice Dogs 4-3 on Tuesday night in front of 3,793 fans at the Orleans Arena. With the win the Las Vegas Wranglers reached the 100 point mark for the 2nd straight season, becoming only the second team in ECHL history to accomplish the feat. Aki Seitsonen's goal at 8:57 of the third period proved to be the game winner. Wranglers' defenseman Jason Jozsa scored a goal and forward Adam Cracknell added two assists in the win. Long Beach winger Ash Goldie scored twice for the Ice Dogs in the loss. With the win, the Las Vegas Wranglers have moved into the lead in the National Conference, one point ahead of the Alaska Aces. The Wranglers travel to Long Beach to play the Ice Dogs tomorrow night at 7:00pm (PST).
In the first period, Jason Jozsa tallied a power-play goal one second into the man advantage to give Las Vegas a 1-0 lead.
In the second period, Wranglers' forward Steve Crampton scored his 21st goal of the season to give Las Vegas a 2-0 advantage. The Wranglers pushed the lead to 3-0 when Joe Tallari scored his 15th of the season. The Ice Dogs bounced back as Ash Goldie scored his first goal of the night on a deflection in front of the net.
In the third period, Long Beach winger Bo Cheesman flipped a wrist shot past Wranglers' goalie Kevin Nastiuk to make the score 3-2. The Wranglers bounced back when Nick Anderson fed Aki Seitsonen on a two-on-one breakaway to give the Wranglers a 4-2 lead. Ash Goldie would score his second goal of the night with 3:18 remaining for the final score of 4-3.
The Wranglers will now head to Long Beach on Wednesday, April 4th at 7:00 pm. Las Vegas will conclude the season with two games against Stockton at the Orleans Arena on Friday, April 6th and Saturday, April 7th at 7:05 pm. Friday, the Wranglers will hand out hats to the first 2,000 fans compliments of KB Home.
