Condors Team With Houchin Blood Bank For Successful Month

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors and KUZZ 107.9 are proud to have partnered up with Houchin Blood Bank once again, as fans helped the bank significantly increase their blood donations and set record numbers for the month of March.

"Houchin Blood Bank is very thankful to partner with the Bakersfield Condors," said Houchin Blood Bank Community Relations Representative Tracy Hunter. "It is organizations like the Condors and the hockey fans of Condorstown that help us meet and sustain the blood requirements for Kern County!"

Traditionally, the Condors blood drive brings in slightly over 500 donations for the blood needs of our community which is a tremendous help to our local Blood Bank. Houchin is extremely happy to report that their donors came out in record numbers over the month of March, especially over the week prior to the March 28th game. That week, there was high visual exposure with mascot appearances, player appearances as well as radio and media coverage resulting in 835 registered donors, accounting for 632 actual units that week alone!

Donors who gave blood during the month received a voucher for a $1.00 entrance pass for terrace seating for the March 28th game between the Bakersfield Condors and the Phoenix Roadrunners. Donors were also eligible to enter into a drawing to win the opportunity to "Drop the Puck" on game night, win priority seating for "Best Seat in the House" sponsored by R & D Leather and the chance to win a "signed jersey" from all the Condors players.

The Bakersfield Condors host the Idaho Steelheads for two games this week, first on Wednesday and then on Friday for the regular season home finale. On Saturday, the team travels to Long Beach for their final game of the regular season, before the playoffs begin Tuesday, April 10.

Individual game tickets are now on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322-2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
