Phoenix RoadRunners News Release
PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, an affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes and the San Antonio Rampage, can clinch their first playoff berth in ECHL history tonight with either a win or overtime or shootout loss at Victoria, or a Long Beach loss tonight against Las Vegas at the Long Beach Arena.
The RoadRunners currently hold the #8 seed in the National Conference with 57 points. Should Phoenix clinch a playoff berth, they will play the Alaska Aces, Las Vegas Wranglers, or Bakersfield Condors in a best-of-seven first round series.
Ticket information for the 2007 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs will be announced once the RoadRunners secure a playoff berth.
Phoenix continues their season-ending, season-long seven-game road trip at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday with the first of three games at Victoria. Catch all the action live on www.phxroadrunners.com beginning with "RoadRunners Countdown" at 6:45 p.m.
