
Wranglers Shoutout By Aces 3-0

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers ® (42-12-11, 94 Points) were shutout by the Alaska Aces (38-22-5, 81 Points) 3-0 on Thursday night in front of 4,386 fans at the Orleans Arena. Alaska's Chris Beckford-Tseu stopped all 29 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season with the Aces. Forwards F.P. Guenette, Josh Soares and Bo Cheesman each scored in the Alaska win. The Wranglers host the Aces again on Friday night at 7:05 pm.
Rookie winger Josh Soares tallied his sixth goal in as many nights just 8:19 into the first period to give Alaska a 1-0 lead. The goal was set up by Peter Metcalf and Matt Robinson.
Alaska added to the damage in the middle period. Forward Bo Cheesman doubled the Aces lead with a power-play goal, just 33-seconds into the second period. Metcalf and Matt Shasby set up the extra-man advantage goal and the 2-0 Alaska lead.
Late in the third period the Aces struck again, this time with a five-on-three power-play goal by F.P Guenette. The Aces worked the puck down low, with Guenette finishing the play for his 20th goal of the season at 19:13, securing Alaska's 3-0 win.
The Wranglers will host Alaska on Friday night at 7:05 pm. The Wranglers will then embark on a three-game road trip with stops in Utah, Fresno and Phoenix.
