Phoenix, Ariz. - Kris Mayotte made 32 saves for his first professional shutout, leading the Fresno Falcons to a 2-0 win over the Phoenix RoadRunners on Thursday at US Airways Center. The win is Fresno's 20th road win of the season, setting a new team record.

For the fourth consecutive game, the Falcons scored the lone goal of the first period. Brian O'Hanley took a shot from the blue line, which was redirected past goaltender Taylor Dakers by Mike Ramsay, who notched his 17th goal of the season. O'Hanley earned his first professional point with the assist.

Spencer Carbery doubled Fresno's lead to 2-0 at the 18:34 mark of the second period. After Kenny Bernard was hooked to the ice, Carbery picked up a loose puck at the top of the Phoenix crease, forced Dakers to the near post, and stuffed a shot home on the far side for his fifth of the year.

Phoenix had a chance to climb back within one 8:18 into the third period as Peder Skinner was awarded a penalty shot, but Mayotte made the save to preserve the 2-0 lead.

Josh Prudden was awarded a penalty shot of his own at 18:48, and he also missed keeping the score 2-0.
