
Wranglers Late Surge Downs Condors 5-2

Bakersfield, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers (10-11-2, 22 points) defeated the Bakersfield Condors (8-12-4, 20 points) 5-2 at Rabobank Arena on Saturday afternoon. Defenseman Mike Madill and center Tyler Mosienko scored 49-seconds apart early in the third period to lift Las Vegas to victory. Forwards Sean Owens, Adam Miller and Matt Beaudoin also scored as Las Vegas improved to 4-8-2 on the road this season. Goalie John DeCaro improved to 6-1-0 by stopping 33 Condors' shots. The four-goal outburst in the third period gave the Wranglers their first come-from behind win of the season when trailing after two periods of play. Las Vegas will return home to host Ontario on Monday at 11:59 PM in the sixth annual Midnight game.
Bakersfield jumped out to a 2-0 first-period lead with goals by Andrew Ianiero and Mike Wiril. The first Condors' goal came with Las Vegas on the power play. Wiril poked in a rebound at 10:40 for the 1-0 lead. The Condors struck again on the special teams, this time with a power-play goal. Winger Andrew Ianiero snapped a wrist shot over the shoulder of Las Vegas goalie John DeCaro at 12:51 for his fifth goal of the season and a 2-0 Bakersfield lead.
In the second period, Wranglers' forward Sean Owens cut the Bakersfield lead in half at 11:01 with his first goal of the season. Owens poked in a rebound off a Tyler Mosienko shot. The power-play goal pulled the Wranglers within a goal at 2-1. Dating back to Tuesday night's win in Fresno, the Wranglers had gone 108:16 without a goal.
In the third period, Las Vegas charged back to take a 3-2 lead two goals in 49-seconds to take the lead. Defenseman Mike Madill scored his fourth goal of the season at 8:00 to tie the game 2-2. Adam Miller assisted on Madill's power-play goal. Center Tyler Mosienko scored 49-seconds later to give Las Vegas the 3-2. Right wing Matt Beaudoin tallied his fifth goal of the season at 17:49, giving the Wranglers a 4-2 lead. Miller added an empty-net goal with 26-seconds remaining for the 5-2 final.
The Wranglers return to host the Midnight game on Monday, December 15th at 11:59 PM.
