
Wranglers Edge Bullies 4-2 -Schneider Tallies Three Points in Win

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 4-2 on Wednesday night. Las Vegas' Eric Schneider led the offense with one goal and two assists. Justin Kelly, Jeff Attard and Kevin O'Flaherty also posted goals as the Wranglers won for the third straight game. Brent Krahn picked up his second consecutive win with 37 saves on the evening. Las Vegas moves to 10-0-1 at home this season. Atlantic City's Josh Prudden and Matt Hubbauer each scored for the Bullies. Goaltender Scott Stirling took the loss stopping 18 of 21 Las Vegas shots. The Wranglers have 11 days off until their next game on December 14th at Fresno against the Falcons at 5:05 pm.
In the first period, the Wranglers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Justin Kelly fired in his third goal in his last two games. Kelly scored his eighth of the season from the left circle just 2:51 into the period. Atlantic City countered at 5:15 on the power play as Josh Prudden tied the game 1-1. Later in the period Kevin O'Flaherty gave the Wranglers back the lead with his first goal of his career. Las Vegas forward Eric Schneider led a shorthanded rush up the ice centering in front for O'Flaherty who gave Las Vegas a 2-1 lead.
Las Vegas scored the lone goal of the second period when Jeff Attard shuffled in a rebound off a Mike McBain shot at 14:58. Attard's power-play tally gave the Wranglers the lead for good at 3-1.
Atlantic City trimmed the lead to 3-2 when Matt Hubbauer scored just 1:53 into the third period. Las Vegas held on with Eric Schneider scoring an empty-net goal with only six seconds left for the final score of 4-2 Las Vegas.
The Wranglers return home to host the Long Beach Ice Dogs at the Orleans Arena Wednesday, December 17th at 7:05 pm.
