Louisiana IceGators News Release

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators today have announced that the starting time of the Monday night December 22 game vs. the Greenville Grrrowl has been changed from7:05 pm to 4:05pm. The reason for the change is to create a special holiday celebration during the last home game before the Christmas break. In addition to the annual Teddy Bear Toss and visit from Santa Claus, there will be a holiday "Skate with the IceGators" that will include two sessions beginning at the conclusion of the game.

"The IceGators mission this season has been to create special events for it's fans and with the children of Acadiana on Christmas vacation, we are moving to an earlier start time to allow as many of our fans to participate in all the planned festivities." Said General Manager Brian Kelley

The game on Monday, December 22, is the culmination of the Cox Media and Louisiana IceGators "Toys for Tots" holiday toy drive. In addition to the toys received prior to this game, all the stuffed animals thrown onto the ice after the first IceGators goal, will be distributed throughout Acadiana by the local Marines reserve unit as well as IceGators player and staff. Any fan bringing a new, unwrapped toy or a stuffed animal to the game will receive $2.00 off any seat in the Cajundome.

"We hope this holiday celebration will become an annual event. The players would love to see twice as many young fans on the ice as we did for our first post-game skate in November" said Kelley

Individual tickets for all games, starting at just $10 for adults and $9 for kids (ages 2-12 in any level), are now on sale at the Cajundome Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets. Full season ticket packages, half season plans and Ice Packs are still on sale and can be purchased by calling (337) 234-4423. Season ticketholders get great benefits like the concession item of the game and merchandise discounts. Full season packages start at just $288, while children ages 4-12 can have season tickets for only $225 in any level, including rink side, with an adult purchase.
