Peoria Rivermen News Release
Peoria, Ill. (December 4, 2003) â Director of Broadcasting Norm Ulrich of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that Maid-Rite 50's Diner in the Metro Centre will sponsor the team's in-house radio feed on 93.7 FM for the remainder of the season.
Maid-Rite owners Scott and Tammy Senti, who have been longtime Rivermen season ticket holders and corporate partners, are ecstatic about sponsoring the added benefit at Rivermen home games.
"We're fans just like everyone else, and the opportunity to enhance the fan experience at Carver Arena at Rivermen games is fantastic," said Scott Senti. "We're pleased to be able to step forward to make this happen for all the loyal Rivermen fans."
Fans are encouraged to bring a headset radio to all remaining Rivermen home games in 2003-2004, as they will be able to listen to all of the play-by-play action live and uninterrupted from Carver Arena on 93.7 FM.
As part of the in-house radio feed sponsorship, Maid-Rite in the Metro Centre will give away one Mega Meal (a Mega-Rite, an Order of Fries and a Soft Drink) at each Rivermen home game. Fans may register to win at the Maid-Rite in the Metro Centre. Each home game, a winner will be drawn and called out over the in-house feed.
Once that game's winner claims their prize at the Rivermen broadcast booth they will be entered into a drawing for a year of Maid-Rite sandwiches and Round Trip Airfare from Delta Connection. The winner will be chosen on Saturday, March 27 on Ashley Furniture/UFS/Ralph Rashid Fan Appreciation Night.
On Sunday, December 7, the Rivermen host the Cincinnati Cyclones in the first of seven Journal Star/Insight Media Kids Days. Kids 12 and Under receive a $2 Upper Bowl Admission. Dora The Explorer will also appear courtesy of Nickelodeon. There will be $2.50 Kids Meals, which include a hot dog, chips, soda and a Tyler Rennette player card (available in the first 1,000 meals).
It is sponsored by the Peoria Journal Star, Insight Media, Butternut Breads, Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips, Little Caesar's Pizza, Coca-Cola, Raber Packing Company and Regent Broadcasting of Peoria.
