Alaska's Linglet Named CCM ECHL Rookie of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Alaska Aces left wing Charles Linglet is the CCM ECHL Rookie of the Month for November.

In his first professional season, Linglet led the ECHL in November with 15 assists and tied for the scoring lead with 22 points in 16 games while finishing tied for second with a plus-minus of +11. The Aces went 8-7-1 in November to improve to 12-8-1 and move into third place in the Pacific Division, one point behind leaders Idaho (13-7-0) and Las Vegas (11-5-4).

The 21-year-old Linglet led ECHL rookies with 17 assists and 26 points and ranked third among rookies with nine power play points (4g-5a) in 21 games. His 26 points tied him for fifth among all ECHL players while his four power-play goals tied him for the team lead. The 6-2 and 212-pound Linglet scored a point and was even or plus in 12 games and he had a seven-game scoring streak (4g-9a) to begin the month. He had five games with two assists and one game with two goals.

Linglet, who attended training camp with Providence of the American Hockey League before joining the Aces, played four seasons with Baie-Comeau in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League averaging more than a point a game. Linglet scored 260 points (108g-152a) in 253 regular season games, including 123 points (52g-71a) in 72 regular season games in 2001-02, and had 25 points (9g-16a) in 34 postseason games.
