
Wranglers down Steelheads, 4-1

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, Nev.---The Wranglers beat the Idaho Steelheads on Friday night at the Orleans Arena in their first meeting of the season. Goaltender Michael Ouzas earned his eighth win of the turning away 14 of the Steelhead's 15 shots. Las Vegas improves to 12-4-2 on the season as Idaho falls to 11-6-5. Tyler Mosienko, Ryan Huddy, and Craig Switzer all tallied for Las Vegas in the win. Defenseman Dustin Molle scored the loan goal for Idaho as both teams went 0-9 combined on the power play. Las Vegas continues on their current seven-game points streak as they improve to 6-3-1 at home.
For the second game in a row Las Vegas tallied the first three goals of the game. Tyler Mosienko scored at 3:15 of the first period with assists from Ryan Huddy and Jamie Bates. Mosienko's goal was the loan tally in the first period as the Wranglers took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Vegas tallied again at 10:38 with Ryan Huddy assisted by Tyler Mosienko and Jamie Fritsch. Defenseman Craig Switzer put Las Vegas up by three at 14:17 assisted by Justin Bernhardt. After two periods Las Vegas was up 3-0.
Idaho was able to cut into the deficit at 9:31 of the third period with a goal from Dustin Molle assisted by Adam Huxley and Kael Mouillierat. Tyler Mosienko added an empty net goal with one minute left in regulation assisted by Ryan Huddy lifting Las Vegas to a 4-1 win.
Las Vegas hosts Idaho again tomorrow night, Saturday, December 11th at the Orleans Arena. The puck drops at 7:05pm.
