Royals Forward Ryan Cruthers Loaned to Lake Erie

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Ryan Cruthers has been loaned to the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL. In separate transactions, the Royals also activated forward John Scrymgeour from the 3-Day Injured Reserve and defenseman Dallas Jackson from the 7-Day Injured Reserve.

Cruthers, a third year pro from Farmingdale, New York, has registered twenty-two points (9g-13a) in twenty-one games with the Royals this season. This marks Cruthers first call-up to the AHL this season. He has played seventeen games in the AHL in his career. In ten games with the Royals this year, Scrymgeour, a first year pro from Pickering, Ontario, has registered two assists and four penalty minutes. Jackson, who is also in his first year of pro and who hails from Edson, Alberta, has picked up a pair of assists in five games with Reading this year.

The Royals take on the South Carolina Stingrays this afternoon (Saturday, December 11, 2010 @ 1:05) at the Sovereign Center, when the Royals will host the annual Teddy Bear Toss and the Holiday Ham Shoot. The Royals game night broadcast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show presented by The Works at Wyomissing on the Royals Broadcast Network (WRAW 1340 am in Reading, www.1340wraw.com) at 12:35 pm.
