Calgary skated to a 3-2 win at Pechanga Arena Saturday night, powered by goals from Martin Frk, Justin Kirkland, and Matvei Gridin.

The Gulls struck first when Yegor Sidorov tucked one home just four minutes in, but the Wranglers settled in quickly.

Frk levelled the match from the slot, ripping it past Vyacheslav Buteyets after Rory Kerins teed him up.

The tally marks Frk's sixth goal in the last five games.

Moments later, Kirkland, facing his former club, buried one from the back door, again off a slick feed from Kerins, to give the Wranglers a 2-1 edge after the opening frame.

The Wranglers kept in the driver's seat in the second, with Gridin cashing in on a rebound from Buteyets, with Turner Ottenbreit supplying the assist to stretch the lead.

The Gulls made a late push in the third, with Roland McKeown cutting the gap to one in the final minute.

The Wranglers are turning it around quick as they face off against the Coachella Valley Firebirds in Palm Desert at 3 p.m. MT.
