
Wranglers Beat Aces 5-3

Anchorage, AK - The Las Vegas Wranglers (6-1-7, 19 points) defeated the Alaska Aces (6-5-0, 12 points) 5-3 at Sullivan Arena on Saturday afternoon. Center Tyler Mosienko extended his multi-point scoring streak to five games with a goal and two assists. Goalie Mike McKenna picked up the win with 37 saves, holding off Alaska's third-period-three goal outburst. The Wranglers remain unbeaten in regulation on the road with a 5-0-5 record. Forwards Marco Peluso and Adam Cracknell, as well as defenseman Jason Krischuk each scored in the second straight victory over the defending champs. The Wranglers remain in Alaska for a 1:05 pm (AST) face-off.
The Wranglers took a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 4:12 from defenseman Jason Krischuk. With two Aces in the penalty box, Krischuk scored his first professional goal with a blast from the high slot through traffic. Las Vegas extended the lead to 2-0 with some great passing at 10:47. Winger Marco Peluso sprung Tyler Mosienko down low with Aki Seitsonen. Mosienko picked up his second assist of the night by setting up Seitsonen's fifth goal of the season. Mosienko extended his multi-point game streak to five with his second assist of the game. Las Vegas took a 2-0 lead to the locker room at the end of the first period.
In the second period, Las Vegas pushed their lead to three when rookie Adam Cracknell scored his fifth goal of the season at 11:28. Cracknell picked off a pass a center and snapped a wrist shot off the pads of Reichmuth for the 3-0 lead.
In the third period, at 4:16, Olivier Fillion scored his fourth goal of the season with a slapshot from the right point. The goal ended a string of 104:16 that Wranglers goalie Mike McKenna had shutout the Aces dating back to Thursday night's 4-0 Las Vegas win. Tyler Mosienko scored at 11:33 to push the Wranglers lead back to three at 4-1. The Aces countered with a power-play goal at 13:50, trimming the Las Vegas lead to 4-2, as Kimbi Daniels notched his fourth goal of the season. The Aces continued to charge back into the game as Fillion scored his second goal of the game on the power play with 1:44 remaining to make it a one-goal game. Winger Marco Peluso sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 19:32 for the 5-3 victory.
Las Vegas will return home on Sunday, November 26th at 5:05 pm to face the Bakersfield Condors at the Orleans Arena. The first 2,000 fans receive a Mullet Wig with a pink headband.
